Adult surf camps are where the heart and soul of Boston Surf Adventures were born. Our mission is to build community in the Boston Area by delivering the highest quality surf programs on earth. Our weekend long camps are about so much more than just surfing. It’s a place where people make life long friends and bonds that are the core of our community. And did we mention the surfing? We’ve had first timers come to camp and catch 100 waves in a single weekend with the help of our world class coaches. Others have learned how to paddle into their own waves, making turns and going down the line in just two days. Others are focused on simply standing up and riding waves. No matter what level you are at, we will meet you where you are and make your experience one you’ll never forger.
The Details:
All Gear provided (Optional. Different pricing for those with their own gear)
Friday eve (7pm-8:15pm on Google Meet) you will take part in surfing 101 which is an engaging deep dive into the world of surfing. You will learn all of the out of water details you need in order to become a New England surfer. We talk philosophy and soul surfing, but we also get into technical detail behind forecasting, wetsuit selection, board selection, meteorology, local breaks, safety and etiquette. You will receive a link to the Google meet the Wednesday before surf camp.
Saturday and Sunday (roughly 9AM-1PM in Nahant, MA or North Beach, NH) you will spend a total of 6 hours in the ocean spread over 4 different surf sessions. These sessions take place in small groups of 3 with 1 coach, for highly focused and individualized instruction. In between each session we take a break on the beach: rehydrating, refueling, resting our muscles, making new friends, and soaking up the sun. (Winter camps have a different structure, we only surf 1 time per day due to the weather and gear).
Saturday after surfing we will have an Apres Surf Lunch/Happy hour at a local brewery or restaurant. It’s a great way to continue meeting others and to become a bigger part of the Boston surf community.
After the weekend is over, you will get exclusive access to our BSA Alumni Chat Group on IG where you can meet more surfers and find people to go surf with you anytime you want!
Surfing will take place at either Nahant, MA or North Beach, NH depending on conditions for that weekend. We make the choice to give you the best conditions closes to Boston (we prefer Nahant, but if there are no waves we go to NH). We make the decision Wednesday before camp
Prices vary by season, winter and spring are the more expensive because they require more gear: Thicker wetsuits, gloves, boots and hoods.
