Welcome to Summer Surf Camp with Boston Surf Adventures
Are you ready for the most fun week of summer? Our summer surf camp is pure fun and joy in the ocean. Your child will learn how to surf while making friends, playing games, and spending time in nature. We teach surf skills through a joyful set of in water games that makes learning to surf feel more like play than school. You child will learn and play all under the guidance of a veteran school teacher and a staff of fun, young coaches who are stoked on working with your child!
Each day will start with a fun on land game that is designed to teach an in water skill. This is followed up by an in water surf session where we practice that skill using a game format. Your child will be under the guidance of our super fun, stoked coaches in groups of 4 or less.
After our in water time, we’ll take a quick lunch break underneath our tents to get a little time out of the sun. After campers are finished eating we’ll have fun games to play right on the beach. Think Spike Ball, Capture the flag and more! These games will warm everyone up for our second in water session.
We will then head out into the ocean for our second surf and game session. We will play in water versions of all the fun kids games including capture the flag, tag, horse, marco polo, scavenger hunts, red rover, tug of war, obstacle courses, simon says, reg light/green light, musical chairs, duck duck goose and more! Your kids will be learning tons of surf skills without even realizing it!

We are the only surf school founded and run by a school teacher with over 11 years of classroom experience and 1000s of students taught. There is no surf camp in the world that understands your child or teenager as well as we do. Our founder understands the developmental needs of all kids and teenagers and how to create a safe and supportive environment in which they can thrive. He has been teaching surfing for many years and cares deeply about each and every one of his students. He wants to see your child full of self-confidence after learning surf skills that will translate to the rest of their life.

2. Water - Please make sure your camper has lots of water. We have extra but its a huge help if they come with water, especially on those hot summer days
3. Sunscreen - Lots of sunscreen so your campers can stay sun safe, one of the topics we will teach about
4. Bathing suit to wear under their wetsuit (we will provide wetsuits)
5. Towel

4. Rainy days - We do not cancel camp on rainy days. Since surfing is a water sport we will still hold camp.
5. What happens when the waves are too small? - We still hold camp every day regardless of wave conditions. When the waves are super small we will work on valuable in water surf skills that will help your camper become a confident surfer. In addition we have fun on board, in ocean games that will build surf skills through play.
6. What if the waves are too big? - When the waves get too big, we will be surfing in the whitewater with your campers where they will be safe. We will never take your camper out in conditions that we deem unsafe.
7. Water Quality Testing - Water quality at Nahant beach is generally safe, however we take safety very seriously at Boston Surf Adventures. We will be testing the water quality on a daily basis at Nahant to ensure the water is safe for your camper (our testing partner is Northeast Environmental Labs in Danvers). We are testing far more frequent than the state tests which occurs every 3 to 4 days and will thus have more accurate data to base our decisions on. We will always use the most up to date data to make decisions around water quality.
8. Cancellations - On the rare day we do cancel camp, we will give you as much advanced notice as possible. We will also refund you for that day.
9. Refund Policy - You can receive a full refund for your camp spot up to 30 days before camp starts. After 30 days we will be unable to refund your camp fee. You are more than welcome to find someone to take your campers spot.
Once again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. It is our goal to give your camper the best week of the summer. Our number is 617-517-6168
